This year, Windshield Skin hit the road with the Fuel Run Desert Grand Tour, bringing protection, style, and performance to a lineup of some of the most exciting vehicles on the road. From deserts to highways, our team ensured every windshield stayed flawless while cars tackled challenging terrain at speed.
The Route
The tour covered an epic journey from Scottsdale, AZ, through Palm Springs, CA, and finishing in Las Vegas, NV. The mix of open highways, winding desert roads, and rally-favorite stops made this an ideal playground for drivers—and a perfect test for Windshield Skin in real-world conditions.
Pre-Tour Preparation: Layers for Every Driver
Before the tour kicked off, we installed the livery for participants as some chose between 6mil, 8mil, or 12mil protection, depending on their needs and prior coverage. Some drivers opted for their first layer of 12mil XP12, giving their windshields the ultimate protection against chips, scratches, and road debris. Others who already had Windshield Skin in place chose to apply a 6mil overlay, protecting the original layer during the rally and leaving it pristine for miles to come.
On the Road: Protection in Action
