The Windshield Skin® kit for the Subaru Outback is a pre-cut sheet of optically clear windshield protection film, shaped to fit your factory windshield with no cutting on the glass. It shields against the rock chips, gravel, and road debris that come with road trips, dirt roads, and all-weather driving, and when it wears you replace the film instead of the windshield. Fits 2020 to 2025 Outback. Available in 6 mil, 8 mil, and 12 mil.

Fit note for the Outback: Our Vehicle-Specific Kits are intentionally cut approximately 1/8" to 1/4" inside the edge of the glass. This lets the film adhere properly and helps prevent edge lifting over time. If you want edge-to-edge coverage, you can choose the Universal Kit and trim it to fit yourself, though we still recommend leaving a small gap around the perimeter for the best long-term adhesion and performance.

Which Thickness for the Outback?

For everyday driving we recommend 8 mil (SS8). If you take your Outback on gravel roads, forest service roads, or long road trips where debris is constant, 12 mil (XP12) gives you maximum impact protection. All three thicknesses share the same optical clarity, install process, and warranty, so thickness is about impact resistance, not visibility.
